Images and files
Everything uploaded lives in Assets, sorted into folders.
Uploading
Section titled “Uploading”Choose Upload files, or drag files anywhere onto the screen and let go when you see Drop to upload. You can also paste an image.
Inside an entry, image and file fields have Add an asset to pick something already uploaded, and Upload files (or drop files on the field) for something new.
If a file with the same name is already there, choose Keep both, Replace it or Discard upload.
Describe every image
Section titled “Describe every image”Open the image and fill in Alternative text: a short description of what it shows, for people who can’t see it and for search engines. Then Save.
Keep the important part in frame
Section titled “Keep the important part in frame”Your site crops images to fit different spaces. Choose Focal point, click the part that must always show (a face, a product), then Done. Reset to centre puts it back.
Crop, rotate and resize
Section titled “Crop, rotate and resize”From the image’s menu choose Edit image. You can rotate, flip and straighten, crop to an Aspect ratio, or resize by Width and Height. Save replaces the image everywhere it’s used; Save as new image keeps both. The original is kept, so Revert to original always works.
Folders
Section titled “Folders”New folder makes one. A folder’s menu has New subfolder, Rename, Move to… and Delete. Drag files onto a folder to move them.
Swapping a file
Section titled “Swapping a file”Replace file puts a new file in place of the old one, everywhere it’s used. Handy for an updated PDF.
