Signing in to QOS

QOS is at qos.qualls.co. There’s no password to remember and no sign-up. We add you with your email address, and you sign in with that same address.

Choose how to sign in

The sign-in screen shows the options that are available:

• Continue with Microsoft
• Continue with Google
• Email me a sign-in link

Use whichever one matches the email address we added. If you have more than one Microsoft or Google account, check which one you picked. Using the wrong one is the most common reason sign-in fails.

Microsoft or Google

1. Go to qos.qualls.co.
2. Choose Continue with Microsoft or Continue with Google.
3. Pick the account with the email address we added, and approve the sign-in if it asks.

An emailed link

1. Go to qos.qualls.co and choose Email me a sign-in link.
2. Type your email address and choose Send sign-in link. You’ll see Check your email for a sign-in link.
3. Open the email titled Your secure QOS sign-in link and choose Sign in.

The link works once and expires after 15 minutes. If it’s too late, ask for a new one. If you ask for several in a row, QOS asks you to wait a minute before trying again.

Note

We only send a link to an address we’ve added. If you type a different address, nothing arrives and QOS can’t tell you why. Check the address, then try again.

Staying signed in

QOS keeps you signed in on that browser for about a week while you keep using it. On a shared computer, choose Sign out when you’re done.

To sign out on a computer, select your name at the bottom of the menu, then Sign out. On a phone, open the menu with Open menu and use the sign-out icon next to your name.

Safe habits

• Don’t forward a sign-in link. Anyone who opens it first is signed in as you.
• Only open QOS links from emails you were expecting.
• Need a colleague to have access? Ask us to add them. Please don’t share your sign-in.

If it still won’t work

You can ask us for a PIN sign-in. It’s a back-up for when Microsoft, Google and the emailed link all fail. We turn it on for your account, then send you the address and your PIN. On that page you enter your email address and PIN, and choose Sign in with PIN. The PIN is 4 to 8 digits. After several wrong tries it locks for about half an hour.
