Sizes

Section titled “Sizes”

Creative sizes lists every size of the ad. Duplicate a size to start a new one from it. Removing one asks first (Remove format or Keep it).

Layers and the canvas

The sidebar has Layers, Controls and Library. Each size can hold up to 80 layers.

  • Select · V and Pan · H or hold Space switch tools.
  • Zoom from 2% to 400%, or jump to 100% or Fit.
  • Snapping uses guides, edges and centres. Hold Alt while dragging to ignore it.
  • Select several layers to align and distribute them. Align to artboard lines a layer up with the edges or centre.

Guides

Section titled “Guides”

Under Guides, + Vertical and + Horizontal add guides. Drag one, or type its position. Show guides hides and shows them. Guides never appear in exports.

Effects

Section titled “Effects”

Under Appearance:

  • Text effects: Hollow, Echo, Long shadow, Neon and Raised.
  • Gradient: linear or radial.
  • Outline & shadow.
  • Image mask: rectangle, rounded, ellipse, arch, diamond, hexagon or custom.

Fields

Section titled “Fields”

Connect layers to fields in Controls. Each field shows Editable or Fixed, and where it’s used (“Used in 3 places”). Clients only ever see the editable ones.
