Templates

Only designers see this part of the studio. To see it the way a client does, switch Viewing as to Client in the top bar.

Choose New template and a Template type:

  • Advertising · Multiple sizes: one design laid out at several sizes, built on the canvas. See Designing ads.
  • Email · Visual editor: an email built from blocks, with project fields clients fill in.
  • Print document · Import from InDesign: brought in from an InDesign file. See Importing from InDesign.
  1. Build or import it. It stays a Draft while you work.
  2. Choose what clients can change. See What clients can change.
  3. Publish it. Clients can now Use template. See Publishing and approval.
  4. Change it and publish again whenever you like. New campaigns get the new version; campaigns already started keep theirs.

Duplicate template copies a draft as a starting point for a variation.

Sometimes a campaign ends up better than the template it came from. Open the print campaign and choose Make template. The document, as it is now, becomes a new published template in the same project, named after the campaign. New campaigns can start from it straight away. The campaign and the old template stay as they are.

Choose the bin icon (Remove template) on the template’s card, then Remove template. It leaves the Templates list and nobody can start a new campaign from it. Campaigns already made from it still open and export as before.
